The Job

Our business client on St Georges Road, Beaconsfield rang us for the procurement of a Lenovo Laptop – a fast one with an OLED screen. We thought the Lenovo slim 7 – 14 inches would be the perfect balance between price, visuals and performance.

We had to setup the laptop from scratch and use command-prompt technique to bypass the need for a Microsoft account as the client specifically mentioned that user accounts on the laptop must be local.

We setup the local user accounts – 3 in total. We then setup and connected their Exchange email accounts – 9 accounts in total across the 3 user accounts. On the things to do were:

Setup of Signatures, Dual screens using a Display Link certified docking station.

We also setup their Ricoh IMC2000 printer and scanner, installed and configured Kaspersky Plus – our preferred business use security protection.

Finally, client also wanted SharePoint access to certain files and folders on this laptop and across each of the user accounts. This was easy to setup on the Exchange Global Administrator account using Read/Write permissions.
