Looking for Computer repairs in Tooradin?

Tooradin is a small township on the edge of the Western port surrounded by farming properties, hobby farms and a scattering of large acreage blocks that stretch well beyond the reach of standard NBN infrastructure.
Internet connectivity is the biggest issue we see in Tooradin. A large number of properties sit outside the NBN fixed wireless footprint entirely. And this leaves residents relying on satellite services that are ageing 4G set ups and those were never configured properly in the first place.
Wi-Fi coverage across larger farm properties with multiple outbuildings, sheds and separate living areas are jobs that we tend to – since a single router was never designed to cover that kind of distance or the number of solid structures in between.
We also see several patterns of problems typical of semi rural communities such as ageing laptops desktops with hard drives that have slowed down with time, virus infections on family and farm office machines, printers that refuse to stay connected once they are more than a room away from the router.
Whether you are dealing with a property that has no usable Internet at all or a farm office that can’t hold a stable Wi-Fi signal or even a laptop that’s slow to a crawl. We will troubleshoot your problems and fix them with minimal amount of fuss.
If we can’t find a solution, you don’t pay a cent.

Recent Job – Starlink Installation and Home Office Network Setup, South Gippsland Highway, Tooradin
A client on South Gippsland Highway contacted us after years of relying on an old 4G broadband set up that struggled to hold a signal in bad weather and was slow to a crawl whenever they were online all at once.
The property sat well outside the NBN fixed wireless footprint and the client had been told by the other providers – there wasn’t much that could be done about it.
We assessed the property and recommended Starlink as the most reliable satellite internet option.
We use the Starlink app’s obstruction scanner to find the optimal mounting position before installing anything.
The scan identified a small section of tree canopy that could have caused intermittent dropouts if we had moved the dish where the client originally wanted it. So, we relocated the dish to the roof peak on the northern side of the house instead.
Once the dish was aligned and the connection was stable, we ran a series of speed tests at different times of the day. Download speeds consistently sat between 150 and 200 Mbps with upload speeds around 20 Mbps, which is a dramatic improvement over the 15 Mbps down connection over 4G even in good conditions.
We then set up a TP link Deco X68 mesh system to distribute the new connection throughout the house, with one node at the Starlink router and the second node in the clients home office at the far end of the property. Deco X68 was perfect for this job because the home office was easily within the backhaul range of the main node and a dual band system gave the client excellent performance without paying for a tri-band capability the property didn’t need.
The client was able to run a video call from the Home office for the first time without a single drop out during our visit.

Frequently Asked Questions – Computer Repairs Tooradin
My property is outside the NBN footprint. What are my options?
For most rural properties around Tooradin, Starlink satellite internet is the most reliable option available, offering considerably faster and more stable speeds than older 4G broadband setups. We assess your property’s sky visibility, handle the full installation and configure your network to distribute the connection through your home. Read our guide on NBN alternatives for more detail.
Does my property need clear sky visibility for Starlink to work properly?
Yes, Starlink needs a relatively unobstructed view of the sky, particularly to the north, for a stable connection. We use the Starlink app’s obstruction scanner during installation to identify the best mounting position before anything goes up, which avoids the intermittent dropouts that come from tree cover or nearby structures.
Do you come out to Tooradin the same day?
Yes, in most cases we can be at your property the same day. Call us on 0484 357 559 or hit the book now button and one of our technicians will get back to you quickly.
Can you set up Wi-Fi across my whole farm property including outbuildings?
Yes, large rural properties with sheds, home offices and separate living areas are a regular job for us. We assess your property and recommend the right mesh or access point solution to cover the distance and structures involved. Read our post on Wi-Fi options for separate outbuildings for more detail.
My laptop is running very slowly. Does it need replacing?
In most cases no, slow laptops are almost always caused by an ageing hard drive rather than a dying machine. An SSD upgrade costs a fraction of a new laptop and the performance improvement is dramatic. Read our guide on factors to consider before buying a new computer before making a decision.
Do you work on both Windows and Mac in Tooradin?
Yes, we work on both Windows computers and Apple Macs including MacBooks, iMacs and Mac Minis. We handle everything from Starlink installs and mesh networking to virus removal and hardware upgrades.
What warranty do you provide on repairs?
We back all our work with a 12-month workmanship guarantee, well above the three month standard most repair shops offer. If we can’t find a solution, you don’t pay a cent.
Do you service surrounding areas as well as Tooradin?
Yes, we also service Cardinia, Dalmore, Cranbourne South and Koo Wee Rup. Feel free to pass our name on to your neighbours and workmates.
