Welcome to Computer Technicians (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By engaging our services, purchasing products, or using our website computertechnicians.au (“Site”), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.


1. Services Provided

  • We provide onsite and remote IT support, including but not limited to: computer repairs, Mac repairs, virus removal, Wi-Fi and internet troubleshooting, software setup, data recovery, and general IT consulting.

  • Service scope will be agreed upon at the time of booking. Additional work outside the initial scope may incur further charges.


2. Appointments & Call-Outs

  • All onsite services require a booking via phone, email, or through our website.

  • Missed or cancelled appointments within 24 hours of the scheduled time may attract a cancellation fee.

  • For call-outs, travel charges may apply depending on the service location.


3. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless prior arrangements are agreed in writing.

  • We accept payment via cash, EFTPOS, credit card, or bank transfer.

  • Interest may be charged on overdue accounts at a rate of 2% per month.


4. No Fix, No Fee Policy

  • If we cannot resolve your primary issue, you will not be charged for labour.

  • This does not apply where:

    • The issue is due to customer misuse, neglect, or incomplete disclosure of system problems.

    • Services rendered were diagnostic, advisory, or partially resolved.

    • The issue lies with third-party services (e.g., internet provider faults, software vendor problems).


5. Warranty & Liability

  • Hardware supplied by us is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

  • Most services carry a 1-year workmanship warranty from the date of completion, unless stated otherwise.

  • We are not responsible for:

    • Data loss, corruption, or incompatibility issues.

    • Failures caused by software updates, third-party interference, or user error.

    • Any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages arising from service delays or failures.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure data backups are in place before work begins.


6. Data Privacy

  • We respect your privacy and will not disclose your data or personal information without your consent, except where required by law.

  • Any login credentials provided to us will only be used for the purposes of delivering our services.


7. Software Licensing

  • Clients must provide proof of valid software licences where required.

  • We do not install or provide pirated, counterfeit, or otherwise illegal software under any circumstances.


8. Remote Support

  • By requesting remote support, you authorise us to access your device remotely.

  • While every care is taken, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with remote access and accept full responsibility for any unforeseen issues.


9. Limitation of Service

  • We reserve the right to decline service requests that fall outside our expertise or where we believe the repair/service is not commercially viable.


10. Website Use

  • Content on our Site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

  • We reserve the right to update or remove content without notice.

  • Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only; we are not responsible for their content or accuracy.


11. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

  • Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Victoria.


12. Amendments

  • We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

  • The latest version will always be available on our website.
